Manuscript Found In Accra: Book Review
I was recently reading the book, Manuscript Found In Accra by Paulo Coelho.
It’s a very interesting read and has the ability of providing one with lots of wisdom about Life. The book circles about a city, which was under attack and a Copt, who shares his wisdom and knowledge for all those who asks him questions about love, life, anxiety and many questions which daily comes to our mind, now and then.
The protectors of the city may win or lose but it was that previous day, the Copt started answering to all questions, which may have emerged during those turbulent times. The advices and questions went on till the Sun had delivered his final rays for that day. These queries it would seem are answers to any question that may have come to one’s mind; sometime or the other.
Some of the best part of the advice was about defeat, where the author states through the character Copt that the defeated are those who never fails. He also mentioned that there is a difference between defeat and failure.
He further adds that the motto of failure is ‘Expect nothing and you won’t be disappointed’. All these statements touched by heart. It’s true that in today’s world, we face lot of challenges, lot of tribulations, lots of pain, lot of struggles to create any good thing. This book I personally feel had answers to much of these questions.
The book also describes beautifully about divine energy and that it changes its form. One of the particular statements which touched my heart is ‘We all suffer when our dignity is attacked or wounded, but the greatest pain will be caused by those we thought were examples to be followed’. Though this seems to be general statement, but sometimes these words are true for many.
I personally feel that there are many thing to learn from the Book — Manuscript Found in Accra and If I have to rate the book on 10 Stars and 10 being the highest, I will give the book 9 Stars.
It’s a book, which I will cherish forever. Thank you.
